Eg: The prevailing mood is one of optimism.

Definition: the quality of being hard or firm, not a liquid or gas
Eg: Without that massive influence the college seemed to lack so solidity.


3. Impressionistic(a.) 印象主義的
Definition: giving a general view or idea of something instead of particular details or facts
Eg: The new play at the Youth Theatre is an impressionistic view of life in the 50s.

Definition: not perfect or containing mistakes
Eg: Diamonds are still valuable, even when they are flawed.
