1. plague (v.) [pleg]

to go down or come down something 
ex.Things are cooler and more damp as we descend to the cellar.

 (of sound) to continue to be heard; to echo repeatedly

5. muster (v.)  [ˋmʌstɚ] 
 to produce or encourage an emotion or support for something

6.prophet (n.)

 a person who speaks for God or a god, or a person who tells what will happen in the future

8. symptomatic (adj.)

If something bad is symptomatic of something else, it is caused by the other thing and is proof that it exists 
ex.The city's problems are symptomatic of the crisis that is spreading throughout the country.
 

 
 
9. appease (v.)

 (in arguments or war) to prevent further disagreement by giving to the other side something that they have demanded

ex.Gandhi was accused by some of trying to appease both factions of the electorate.

 
10. ballistic (adj.)  [bəˋlɪstɪk] 
relating to or characteristic of the motion of objects moving under their own momentum and the force of gravity
ex.Ballistic tests have matched the weapons with bullets taken from the bodies of victims.

 
11. magnanimous (adj.) [mægˋnænəməs] 
very kind and generous towards an enemy or someone you have defeated
ex.I was prepared to be magnanimous, prepared to feel compassion for him.

a large amount of goods kept ready for future use

 to officially take private property away from someone, usually by legal authority
ex.They confiscated weapons, ammunition and propaganda material.

 an extremely cruel act, or the committing of such acts

25. nobility (n.)

the class or group of people who have a high social rank, esp. from birth
